New Year, New Films

With some out very soon, and some in the distant future, we can't help but get excited for the release of these...

Room (out 16th January) 

Originally a novel written by Emma Donoghue, Room takes you on a riveting emotional journey about the power of love, limitless imagination and the strength of the human spirit, An unparalleled celebration of the bond between parent and child.


Spotlight (out 29th January)

Spotlight tells the astonishing true story of the Boston Globe’s Pulitzer Prize-winning “Spotlight” team of investigative journalists, who in 2002 shock the city and the world by exposing the Catholic Church’s systematic cover-up of widespread paedophilia perpetrated by more than 70 local priests.


A Bigger Splash (out 12th February)

When a high-profile couple – a rock star and a filmmaker decide to vacation on a remote Italian island, their rest is disrupted by the sudden visit of an old friend and his sexy, yet mysterious daughter. Suddenly, what was supposed to be an ideal getaway turns into a whirlwind of jealousy, passion and danger for everyone in the group.


Freeheld (out 19th February)

New Jersey police lieutenant, Laurel Hester, and her registered domestic partner, Stacie Andree, both battle to secure Hester's pension benefits when she is diagnosed with terminal cancer.


Hail, Caesar (out 4th March)

Written and directed by the Cohen brothers and featuring an all-star cast including George Clooney, Channing Tatum, Scarlett Johannson and Tilda Swinton. A Hollywood fixer in the 1950s works to keep the studio's stars in line.


Dheepan (out Spring 2016)

Winner of the Palme D’Or at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, Dheepan is a Sri Lankan Tamil warrior who flees to France and ends up working as a caretaker outside Paris. He takes a woman and a little girl, whom he doesn't know, with him, hoping this will make it easier to get political asylum in Europe.
